Best PCB Design Software – Which PCB Design Software Do Big Companies (Samsung, Apple, Sony) Use?

There are three main PCB design software that the big companies use. They are as follows in the order of popularity:

  1. Mentor Graphics PADS
  2. Cadence Allegro
  3. Altium designer

I learnt from Lee Ritchey, a high speed PCB design expert who worked for Apple that they use Allegro for their PCB designs. However recently Altium designer has been gaining a lot of popularity amongst hardware engineers. It is the least expensive compared to the other three with more or less the same functionality. Also you can find better training for Altium Designer
